Studying overseas: Practical advice The first step you need to take is to decide where you want to study (beach, country, city) what you want to study, for what duration and when... Contact Study Options with your requirements and we will let you have a breakdown of your study options and some prospectuses. Once you have made a firm decision then we will send you an application form to complete, this will need to be returned to us with certified copies of exam certificates/qualifications (we can arrange for your documents to be certified for you) and an application fee. When the institution has received your application it will be assessed and, if eligible, you will receive an offer letter. You will then have to accept this offer, once these are received by the institution, then you will receive you Confirmation of Enrolment. You will need to arrange overseas health cover and have a medical carried out. Once you have your Confirmation of Enrolment you can apply for your student visa. Once your visa is received, book your flight and you are away... arrive in Oz and NZ and enjoy! A student visa is not always required depending on what course you are studying, many short courses (under three months) do not require a student visa - a tourist visa will do! Study Options has offices in the UK, Australia (Brisbane) and New Zealand (Auckland) and can advise and guide you throughout the whole process from choosing the right course, to applying for the course, visa applications, health cover, travel and everything else involved!
