Eligibility
- You must be a full time student (defined as 15 hours of contact time per week for at least 12 weeks of the year) in further or higher education.
- In full time secondary education, aged 12 years and above.
- A gap year student with a confirmed place in higher education for the following academic year.
Terms and conditions
You will need to provide proof of your student status, this can be one of the following. Get your school to complete the Student Status Section of the ISIC application form or get a letter on official school letterhead, or a current student photo ID, or an unconditional/confirmed UCAS admission form. If you are on a gap year, you will need to show confirmation of your deferred university place (such as the UCAS form).
If you cannot get an ISIC you can still get a Youth Card (IYTC) if you're under 26, entitling you to thousands of worldwide discounts.
If you are travelling on a flight which requires this card for eligibility you must carry your card with you on the flight. Failure to do so may result in the airline refusing to board you.
The 2006 ISIC card is valid until 31 Dec 2006. The 2007 ISIC card is valid until 31 Dec 2007.
