How it works
Amtrak point-to-point tickets are advanced paid and issued at the train station on the day of departure. A reservation will be confirmed and an itinerary emailed which will provide confirmation of the reservation and payment. Upon arrival in the USA travellers may retrieve tickets through a QUIK TRAK ticket machine or by visiting a ticket clerk in the station who will issue the tickets.
Cancellations and refunds
Amtrak Rail tickets that are lost, stolen or validated/exchanged cannot be refunded. Refunds are only accepted on vouchers returned to International Rail before the start of their validity. Vouchers returned for cancellation or alterations have a standard 15% cancellation/exchange fee in addition to an administrative charge per ticket. Cancellation/alteration fees will be charged on each voucher returned. Duplicate or replacement tickets cannot be issued under any circumstances. Reservations and sleeping accommodation are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
